Capitalism has long been the engine of the U.S. economy by enabling the individual to rise above his class and socio-economic condition to accomplish his goals in the marketplace no matter how big or small.  It is not simply a political ideology nor is its sole purpose to accumulate wealth.  Capitalism doesn’t suppress the individual through the corporate, and it is not a vehicle to allow a select group of individuals to amass fortune at the expense of all other members of a society.

Capitalism embodies the American Spirit as well as the American Dream.  It is the only economic system that allows the flexibility and the freedom for the individual to choose his path in life and excel up to the fullest of his abilities without the fear of his wealth being re-distributed against his will.  It is also the distribution of goods and services through open competition, giving the buyer the ultimate choice as to whom they wish to do their business.  Capitalism also emphasizes free will in the choice of the individual’s charities and philanthropies, rather than allowing elected officials dictate ones charitable sensibilities through the burden of taxation.  Time has proven that the free-market is vastly more efficient than the cumbersome bureaucracy innate in governmental systems.
